Don’t miss the Abrahamic Dialogue course this January 2-7 at United Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia. Last year’s course was a resounding success with students from 8 states and 12 different schools.
This course brings seminarians from Jewish, Muslim, and Christian schools to examine fields of comparative study, including Revelation and Sacred Texts; Art, Symbol, and Ritual; and Mysticism and Spirituality. We also explore the critical issue of Religious Nationalism that co-ops all three faiths into politics of alienation and racial/ethnic privilege around the globe and here at home. Shaping constructive dialogue and building bridges between emerging faith leaders is crucial, especially in a time of growing political division and upheaval.
If YOU are a student at a WTC school who has interest in this course, please fill out the application below and send to [email protected] and to your Academic Dean, for his or her approval. But HURRY, as applications are due by November 12. Limited spots available. If you are a Jewish or Muslim student in North America preparing to be a faith leader, please do the same.
The course is fully funded and a travel stipend of up to $500 is provided. The only cost to you will be if you take it for credit: options 1.5 – 3 credits depending on work load and your school’s policies.
