19 WTC school faculty members attended a unique workshop April 29 on “engaged teaching,” which explores ways to position classroom engagement and assignments to the life-situation and backgrounds of a diversity of students. This workshop is based on the research by Dr. Renee Harrision of Howard University School of Divinity and Dr. Jennie Knight of Guilford College of the kind of teaching that engages active student learning, especially toward personal and social transformation. Thank you for the two outstanding presenters, and to the faculty who attended from Howard, Wesley, John Leland, CUA, and our colleagues at St. Mary’s in Baltimore.
