This week marked the first joint effort with the Institute for Christian Jewish Studies to hold an intensive course in Jewish-Christian studies for “Emerging Religious Leaders.” 19 students from several rabbinical schools and 7 Consortium seminaries joined 8 faculty at the Pearlstone Center in Maryland for text study, dialogue, camaraderie, and prayer. Topics included Identity and Difference, Suffering and Theodicy, Forgiveness and Reconciliation, and Leadership and Preaching. Teaching was demanding, conversations intense, and the learning transformative. Thanks to the ICJS and Consortium supporters for making this week possible!
