The Consortium celebrates the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity with a Student lead Prayer Service, the Figel Address on Ecumenism, and a full reception–all on February 6.
This years’ recipient of the Ecumenism Award is Dr. Justo Gonzalez, noted historical theologian, leader in Hispanic theology, and co-founder of the Association for Hispanic Theological Education. He has taught at the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico, the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and Columbia Theological Seminary. Dr. Gonzalez has authored over 30 books, which are used by multiple denominations because of their theological depth, ecumenical breadth, and their multi-disciplinary historical approach.
Dr. Gonzalez address is entitled: “On Being Catholic,” which explores the broad and universal implications of being Christian today.
