Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) is a nondenominational, conservative evangelical seminary offering graduate-level courses and degrees in biblical, theological, and practical ministry instruction. The mission of Dallas Theological Seminary as a professional, graduate-level school is to glorify God by equipping men and women as godly servant-leaders for the proclamation of His Word and the building up of the body of Christ worldwide. Graduates of the school reflect the accomplishment of this mission by serving and leading in church ministries around the world, missionary organizations, educational institutions, and other church related religious organizations and parachurch ministries. DTS serves students from over two dozen denominations and from non-denominational churches.
DTS students training for ministry as pastors or teachers are taken through a four-year program (ThM degree, instead of the three-year MDiv) that includes exegetical, expositional, theological, spiritual, and practical training, with a research component consistent with the programs goals. The seminary’s commitment to the inerrant Scriptures leads to a framework of doctrine in which the great fundamentals of the Christian faith are affirmed and expounded. The doctrines of evangelical orthodoxy are taught in the framework of premillennial, dispensational theology, derived from a consistent grammatical-historical interpretation of the Bible. The Washington, DC area campus (located in Manassas, VA) is one of five extension sites related to the main campus in Dallas, TX. DTS-Washington, DC offers the ThM, the MBTS (Master of Biblical and Theological Studies), the MABC (MA in Biblical Counseling), the MACE (MA in Christian Education), the MACM (MA in Cross-cultural Ministries), the MACL (MA in Christian Leadership), and the MA (Christian Studies) degrees.
