FOUR NEW PUBLIC TRUSTEES ELECTED TO CONSORTIUM BOARD

 

During the May 24 Board of Trustees meeting the Nominating Committee of the Board presented four candidates to serve as Public Trustees on the Board beginning July 1, 2010. Each member will serve a three year term with an opportunity to serve one additional three year term. The four candidates who were approved by the Board to serve in the coming year are:

 

Shelagh Casey-Brown. Shelagh has served for 18 years as a staff member for the institutions of the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation. She served first at the College of Preachers and later at the Washington National Cathedral as an Associate Warden. She was instrumental in the planning of programs and hospitality operations at the College and managerial oversight of public programs and courses offered at the College and Cathedral. Shelagh served as the representative to the Consortium Board for the Cathedral since the Cathedral joined the Consortium.

 

Dr. Scott E. Erickson. Dr. Erickson presently works at the National Cathedral School in Washington, DC as the Director of Middle School and Director of Studies. He has been instrumental in developing school curriculum programs and in the redesigning of the faculty and staff recruitment and retention programs. He has Th.D in History of Christianity from Uppsala University in Sweden, M.Div. from North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago and a B.A. in Music from North Park University, Chicago. He also served as a Postgraduate Fellow at Harvard University.

 

Christopher Gerlach. Mr. Gerlach is currently President of CG Advisors, Ltd. in Washington, DC. He has served in various executive positions throughout Europe until coming to work as Chief Financial and Human Resources Officer for Wall Street International in Baltimore, MD in 2005. Mr. Gerlach is currently enrolled at Washington Theological Union working on a Master’s Degree in Theology. He has an M.B.A. from Columbia Graduate School of Business in New York and a Doctoral degree in International and General Economics from Tilburg University, Tilburg, the Netherlands. Mr. Gerlach speaks Dutch, English and German. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Language, Education and Technology Center in Washington, DC.

 

Rev. Dr. Constance C. Wheeler-Evans. Rev. Wheeler-Evans is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Currently she is serving as Senior Pastor at Wayman Good Hope AME Church in Severna Park, MD and as the Director of Protestant Chaplaincy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Rev. Wheeler is chairman of the revival committee of the Churches United for Christ Cluster of ministers in Severna Park and surrounding areas in Northern Anne Arundel County, MD. Rev. Wheeler earned a BBA in Business Management from the University of the District of Columbia and a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University School of Divinity. In 2009 Rev. Wheeler received her Doctor of Ministry degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC
