The seventh annual Alwani event for Muslim Christian dialogue included engaging addresses on interfaith relations in Africa by Dr. Sulayman Nyang of Howard University and Dr. Kwasi Kuakye-Nuako of the Howard School of Divinity.   There were also moving prayers for the life and work of Dr. Taha Al-Alwani, who had recently passed away, by Rev. Lobenstine and Imam Adam.  A testament from his grandson gave a moving portrait of Dr. Al-Alwani as a family leader and scholar. Thanks to Rev. Richard Jones for hosting the evening, and to Howard Divinity for hosting us.

We celebrate our ongoing partnership with Islamic leaders all over the region.   This event is a reminder of the great work toward understanding and solidarity that remains to be done, and the witness we continue to offer to dispel serious misunderstandings and prejudices against both great religions.
